The 1022 Barcode Slot Reader is a flexible reader with visible red light or infrared light sources capable of reading poor quality printed barcodes, invisible barcodes or security laminated barcodes. Its plastic housing makes the unit very light and provides excellent protection for its optical system against performance degradation in harsh environments. For optimum readability the bar code should be parallel to the edge of the card with its horizontal centre line 12.5mm from the edge, and there should be some white-space at either end. The PC/Keyboard version has a mini-din 6 pin Y cable keyboard interface, and is powered by the interface.

A kit comprising 2 line drivers (one for the PC end and one for the reader at the remote end) a data and power connection adapter to power both the reader and the line driver and a 12v DC power supply for the remote end. - complete with a flying lead for the reader power socket.

The PC end unit is powered by the PC's COM port and has a flexible COM1 adapter.

Choose from a DB9 or DB25 connector for the reader at the remote end.

Its metallic housing makes the unit durable and provides excellent protection for its optical system against performance degradation in harsh environments. For optimum readability the bar code should be parallel to the edge of the card with its horizontal centre line 12.5mm from the edge, and there should be some white-space at either end. This reader is only available with a Wand/TTL interface via a DB-9 female connector. It provides non-decoded output and is for use with an external decoder - such as the TINY I - please ask for further details. This reader is not weatherproof but there is an IP rated version available to special order - again please ask.
