The new 1000K Handheld CCD Barcode Scanner is a keyboard wedge scanner and provides a very economical solution to most barcode scanning requirements.

Keyboard wedge scanners are the easiest way to get barcode data into PC applications - the data encoded in the barcode is passed to the current application as if it had been entered at the keyboard.

This model has the following features: Barcode Readability: Most popular barcode symbologies are supported, upto 67mm wide. Support for negative barcodes, Supports eight scan modes, Programmable Beeping Tone, Dual Color Indicator, Programmable Code ID: Code ID can be individually configured for each symbology, Programmable Length Code , Programmable Prefix Code, Programmable Postfix Code, Character Substitution, Data Editing: Data can be reorganized according to user programmable formats. USB is the most popular interface for peripherals on PC, Laptops, Macs and iBooks.

Keyboard wedge scanners are the easiest way to get barcode data into applications - the data encoded in the barcode is passed to the current application as if it had been entered at the keyboard.

Connects directly to a free USB port on a Mac (OS 8.3 onwards) or a Windows 98 (OSR2), ME, 2000, XP PC, and is powered by the interface. N.B. Windows NT does not support USB, earlier versions of Windows 98 and 95 require USB updates from Microsoft.

This version is a USB HID class 1.0 device and decodes barcodes as if their encoded data were entered from the keyboard.

The new 1000R Handheld CCD Barcode Scanner uses an RS232 serial interface - and is ideal for system integrators who require data from the PC's serial ports or who are using other data collection systems.

The default Serial version connects directly to a DB-9 pin male serial port (e.g. PC COM1) and can be powered by optional 5v power supply or keyboard adapter. There are options with dual male & female connectors for use as a serial wedge with data entry terminals. N.B. this product requires software that is designed to interface with serial port devices - no software is supplied with this unit.
